The National Health Road Map was developed to meet Te Marae Ora’s 20 year vision to overcome current population health challenges. These challenges include a rise in non-communicable diseases, improving secondary health care needs in the Pa Enua, addressing tertiary health care demands, ensuring health care for the elderly and addressing environmental health challenges.
There are three focus areas to this Map:
- Health systems strengthening
- Health care service excellence
- Public and private partnership
