Cook Islands Cabinet met today and approved the continuation of the air border closure for inwards passenger travel, with exemptions, which include 14 days supervised quarantine on arrival.

An air ambulance aircraft from New Zealand departed Rarotonga this afternoon transporting a very sick patient to critical care services in Auckland. The illness is NOT associated with COVID-19.
Twelve passengers who recently arrived from Auckland and now reside in Aitutaki have tested negative for COVID-19. This follows precautionary measures to contact trace, interview and test recent arrivals from Auckland.
