Vaccination Rollout Continues – Rarotonga
Today, Friday 28 January there was a steady flow of people coming to get their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd / booster dose of the Covid-19 Pfizer vaccination.
As at 5.40pm today – 31 people had received their first dose, 28 their second dose and 261 people had received their third/booster dose.
The Marae Ora Vaccination Team is looking forward to welcoming any other eligible Cook Islands Residents and Work Permit Holders aged 12 and over tomorrow who wish to continue or start their vaccination programme.
To qualify for the booster/third shot you must be 18 years of age or older and have had your second dose at least 4 months ago, i.e., you had your second dose before the end of September.
Please come to the Social Centre from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and, if you are coming for your first dose or if you have not already, please bring a copy of your passport photo page or birth certificate with you, so that TMO can match these documents up with their COVID-19 vaccination records.
This information will also be used in preparation for international travel regulations requiring travellers to prove their COVID-19 vaccination status.
