Update as at 10am 19 August 2021

Kia Orana

Te Marae Ora (TMO) wishes to provide the following update:

The Cook Islands remains COVID-19 free.

As at late last night 1425 people had been swabbed testing for COVID-19, thus far 951 swabs have been processed, all returning negative results.

In line with the increased number of COVID-19 community cases in Auckland and therefore the steadily increasing ‘Locations of Interest’ (locations of interest on the Ministry of Health website), Te Marae Ora wants to hear from all passengers who arrived in the Cook Islands between 2-16 August 2021 (inclusive).

All passengers who arrived between these dates are asked to contact the Te Marae Ora Contact Tracing Lines if they have not already done so. These numbers are: 57481, 57482, 57486, 56199 – and 29 664 and 29 110 extn 717. Alternatively, they may visit one of the four testing stations that will be operating until 4pm today.

The testing stations are located at: Black Rock Clinic, Constitution Park, Tupapa Outpatients, and the Muri Clinic.

Any passenger who is symptomatic or visited a Location of Interest before travelling to the Cook Islands needs to self-isolate and contact Te Marae Ora as soon as possible.

Te Marae Ora is conscious that calls may not get answered on the first attempt people call, but please do not give up. We do want to hear from you and appreciate your patience.

Once people have been tested they are required to self-isolate whilst they await their test result.
